Deirdre Prince LANDSCAPES

 
 

Deirdre Prince completed Architectural Technology in DIT and graduated in 1992. After a number of years in industry, Deirdre studied a Master Degree in Landscape Architecture in UCD.


She has just been awarded a Gold Medal and Best in category for a small garden in Bloom in the Park 2012, designed in collaboration with Patricia Tyrrell.


She has worked on a variety of landscaping projects, from  landscape masterplanning of amenities as part of the design team with Brian O’Halloran & Associates in the K Club, Straffan, Co. Kildare to masterplanning of large scale residential development schemes in Co. Kildare. In addition to the above she has designed a number of large scale private residential garden developments.


She has worked as a landscape architect and architectural technologist in Brian O’Halloran & Associates, on a variety of projects including Sean O’Casey Bridge, Dublin and Dundalk Courthouse, Co. Louth.

In previous offices, she has worked as part of a team on projects  such as Fingal County Hall Civic Offices in Swords with Bucholz/McEvoy and Building Design Partnership and the Croke Park Stadium Redevelopment as a member of the design team with Gilroy McMahon.


Services offered by the company include landscape consultancy, design, landscape planning application, landscape conservation and project management.


Today Deirdre practices as a landscape architect and garden design consultant for domestic and commercial clients both in Ireland and overseas. She has also lectured and tutored in the Higher National Diploma of Landscape Design and Garden Design in Senior College Dun Laoghaire VEC.

She is a regular contributor to the gardening section of Ireland’s Homes, Interiors and Living magazine


She is a full member of the Garden & Landscape Design Association and a graduate member of the Irish Landscape Institute.
